Andina reports that Peruvian pisco and wine sales are expected to increase this year for Father’s day.
Ripped out of the pages of “Dios es Peruano,” more and more Peruvians are taking a fancy to their own grapes.
Marketing manager of Ica, Peru’s Bodega Vista Alegre, Carlos Perez, stated: “People are starting to appreciate Peruvian wines and now they are not afraid to buy a national wine for dinner.”
I’ve never tried Vista Alegre’s brand, but Tabernero makes a fine enough Borgoña for a non-wine enthusiast like myself to finish off a few glasses.
Perez states that sales are expected to increase by 25% for Father’s day in addition to citing that these percentages could be 50% more compared to last month’s sales.
